  • Temporary Employment: 4 years

Your Responsibilities

  • Research and publication activities in applied mathematics
  • Writing a doctoral thesis with a focus on mathematics for industrial applications or interdisciplinary applications
  • Participation in the department’s interdisciplinary projects and industry projects within the framework of the "Living Lab Mathematics in Applications"
  • Support in the further development of the department’s own software packages
  • Teaching courses and assisting with teaching and examination tasks at the department
  • Participation in organizational and administrative tasks

Your Profile

  • Completed masters degree in mathematics or a related field
  • Excellent English skills, both spoken and written
  • Competence in developing mathematical application software, e.g., with C++/Python
  • Independent working style and initiative
  • Communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on interdisciplinary and industrial contexts
  • Broad interest in the application of mathematics, especially in the research areas represented at the department

We offer an annual gross salary of € 52,865.40 for a fulltime position.
